Syntax (syntax of the verb phrase, syntax of the determiner phrase, operator movement structures, embedding and recursive structures, coordination, agreement, Phase Theory, the ontology of functional projections, syntactic interfaces);

Semantics (event structure, argument structure, aspectual structure, reference, number, quantification, the ontology of natural language semantics, agreement, connectives and function words);

Syntax and semantics of Slavic languages, especially Serbo-Croatian (verb prefixation, verb-suffixation, cross-categorial relations, determiners and pseudoarticles, word order, hybrid agreement, coordination, relativization, variation);

Biolinguistics (the evolution of language, comparative cognitive science, modularity of language, language deficits, variation)
